Level Up Mentorship

A Safe, Supportive Space for Sustainable Growth

School leadership is deeply rewarding—but it's also relentless. From driving system-wide change to navigating difficult conversations, the role can often feel isolating. Leaders deserve more than quick-fix workshops or surface-level professional learning.

Level Up Mentorship offers what truly sustains leaders: ongoing, confidential, strengths-based support rooted in lived experience and practical wisdom. Whether you're wrestling with a staffing issue, refining your learning plan, or carving out space for your own well-being—this space is for you.

Who I Am: Your Partner in Leadership Growth

I’m a former school principal with over 20 years of experience. I’ve led through equity shifts, curriculum reform, and school improvement efforts across multiple communities. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in real school experience.

Throughout my leadership journey, I've mentored new and seasoned principals, worked alongside school and district teams, and co-designed professional learning that honors the complexity of school leadership. I understand the emotional, strategic, and relational demands you face -- because I’ve been there too.

Growth happens best in trusted relationships, where vulnerability and courage can coexist.

Collective Leadership for School Improvement

Grounded in the work of Eckert (2019) and Eckert & Morgan (2023), collective leadership is a collaborative approach in which teachers and administrators work together toward shared goals—centering inclusivity, distributed expertise, and mutual responsibility.

In this full-day session, participants will engage with colleagues to:

  • Explore the seven conditions essential for developing collective leadership

  • Identify common barriers and co-design practical solutions to implementation

  • Develop strategies tailored to your school context for putting collective leadership into action

This session highlights the power of shared leadership practices—where influence is rooted in collaboration and contribution, not formal titles or roles. Join me in rethinking leadership as a collective force for school improvement.

Full Day Learning Experience

This full day learning experience is tailored for school or district teams and professional associations.

Leading for Learning through Inquiry

Leading for learning is a belief in human capacity, equity, inquiry, and professional support. What can you and others do to make leading for learning a more important part of your school culture?

The Spiral of Inquiry (Kaser and Halbert, 2022) is a leading for learning tool that provides an incredible opportunity to hone your leadership capacity through the power of inquiry, while also nourishing your hearts and souls through the power of networking.

Over the course of seven, 60 minute sessions, you will immersed in your own Spiral of Inquiry.

Whether with your school goals or site based problem of practice, collaborate through the stages of the Spiral on a digital whiteboard, receive guidance and build your confidence using the Spiral.

What Leaders Are Saying

“Great sessions. I’m really enjoying moving through the Spiral with your continued, highly effective coaching!!”

Head of Education

“Your sessions have been truly inspiring and have instilled in me a real passion for the Circle of Courage through the Spiral of Inquiry and made me want to shout about it from the rooftops!  Without your contagious enthusiasm and your fabulous way of making everything feel do-able and accessible, I think I would still be stuck with my head in the book trying to figure out where to go next.  I am feeling so excited about our next steps in Lower School and across the school as a whole.”

Head of Lower School

Designing for Learning: Space and Pedagogy

Are you planning a new build or rethinking your existing school space to create a more flexible, innovative learning environment?

I know how overwhelming — and exciting — that can feel. I’ve been in your shoes.

During my tenure as a school principal, I had the incredible opportunity to lead the launch of multiple new schools from the ground up. Each one was designed not just with students in mind, but with learning at the centre — spaces that reflected our values, supported collaboration, and empowered both students and staff. These learning community models have gone on to receive national recognition and worldwide attention, and they continue to shape how we think about schools as places of possibility.

Over the years, I’ve worked alongside countless school staff, school leaders, and district leaders — helping them align their vision for learning with the realities of site planning, architecture, pedagogy, and change leadership. Whether you’re just beginning to imagine what’s possible, or deep into the planning process, I’m here to support you. Let’s reimagine your school, together.

What Leaders Are Saying

The insights we learned through Rosa’s efforts were the most productive means of all of the many strategies employed in preparing our staff to undertake their roles in a newly designed school. True innovators who have the vision, emotional intelligence, work ethic and understanding of change management to successfully transform a school community are rare in the world of public education. Rosa is such an innovator and much more!
